Map the Story #20- Malaysia Hero Market: The Story of My Weekly Market
How are you all my friends? Of course, you are very good. Today I have come to share a beautiful moment of my shopping with you. I hope you like it.
Expatriate life means busyness and a rush of work. In Malaysia, a little relief is found in the mechanical life during the weekends. And a large part of this weekend is spent shopping for the necessary things for the next week. On one such day, I went out to the familiar supermarket "Heromarket" near our house.

As soon as I reached the market, I saw its huge red and white signboard, on which "HEROMARKET" was written in large letters and "FRESH & EASY" below. There is a kind of trust in the name. The sky was a bit cloudy that day, but the structure of the market looked quite attractive. The green plants around made the environment more pleasant.
As soon as we entered, we could see the familiar hustle and bustle of the market. My companion and I slowly walked towards the essentials. How beautifully everything is arranged here! On one side, rows of various dry food items, spices and other household items are kept. I saw a shopkeeper looking carefully at something on the shelves. These scenes are part of normal market movements.

I needed to buy some frozen meat as per my list. So I headed towards the freezer section, where a large signboard read "DAGING / KAMBING BEKU" (frozen meat/khasi) in Malay. The meats were neatly arranged in transparent packets inside the freezer. From here, I picked up the things I needed.
Then I went to the fruit and vegetable section. The sweet smell of fresh fruits filled my mind. Green guavas were arranged neatly on one side, and rows of ripe bananas on the other. It felt like the fresh flavors of nature had gathered here. As I walked a little further, I saw piles of red and green chilies. Small green lemons were placed next to them. When you come back from abroad and see these familiar vegetables, you remember your country. It feels like this is the world I know!

After shopping, the two of us came out of the market. These small moments bring a new vibe to the monotonous life of expatriation. Walking home with the market bag in hand and planning the next week in your mind, there is a kind of indescribable joy hidden in this. This Hero Market is not just a shopping place; it is an important part of the daily life of expatriates like us.
Anyway, friends, I shared this beautiful moment with you. I will definitely let you know how it felt. Everyone, stay well. Thank you.
