Tangail Railway Station is a well-known railway station located not too far from Dhaka, and very close to the Jamuna Bridge. I have visited this station several times, and each visit leaves a unique impression. Today, I would like to share a detailed review of this station.

The station itself is quite organized and clean. Upon entering, the first thing you notice on your left is the ticket counter. The staff here are generally helpful, though the counter could have been slightly larger to accommodate more passengers, especially during peak hours. A little further in, there is a seating area where passengers can wait comfortably for their trains.

One unique feature of Tangail Railway Station is a small library available for passengers. Here, a collection of books is kept, and anyone can read them free of charge. This thoughtful facility makes waiting at the station a more enjoyable experience, especially for those who like to read. The station also has a rest area that is well-maintained and includes clean washrooms.

The overall cleanliness of the station is impressive. Multiple dustbins are placed around the station to encourage proper disposal of waste, which helps keep the environment tidy. Another notable facility is the “Mother’s Corner,” a dedicated space for nursing mothers, which shows the station’s attention to passenger comfort. Facilities like these are rare in many stations and are highly appreciated.

Tangail Railway Station has only one platform, but it is spacious and well-equipped. There are numerous seating arrangements for waiting passengers, and ceiling fans are installed to provide relief on hot days. The platform is orderly, making boarding and alighting from trains easy and safe.

The staff are generally polite, and there is an office of the station master where passengers can get information about train schedules. Overall, Tangail Railway Station provides a comfortable and convenient experience for travelers, combining cleanliness, facilities, and good connectivity.
