The Jamuna River is one of the largest rivers in Bangladesh. We all know that Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Karnaphulit are among the major rivers of Bangladesh. However, although these rivers are large, their tributaries have been proven to flow through 64 districts of Bangladesh and are closely related to each other.

Similarly, the tributary of the Jamuna River, which crosses Mahadevpur and joins the Atrai River, enters Naogaon. It is one of the longest rivers in Naogaon and is a famous river in Naogaon. There is a big bridge in Naogaon district over the Jamuna River, through which hundreds of people travel every day. Also, because the Jamuna River is so large and long, people have started various careers here, starting from commuting.

The picture shows that there is a boat facility for crossing the Yamuna River. We will see boats only after crossing a certain distance. Here, several people earn their livelihood by boating. It is a very good facility. Hundreds of people cross the river every day from morning to night. They change their route by boat.

Also, in the picture, people are seen fishing in the river. Some people may be fishing as a hobby, or some may be fishing here to make a living. Here, various types of fish, from small to large, are caught. The most important thing is that during the rainy season, a lot of fish are found here. And because there are a lot of fish in the river at that time, many people who never fished in the river also come to the river and enjoy fishing.

It fills up with water during the rainy season, and many large boats can be seen here because people like to travel by boat. However, once the rainy season is over, there is little water at other times. During the dry season, the water in the river dries up a lot. In the areas where there is not a lot of water, the villagers plant rice trees and make a living.

Here, they plant such large varieties of rice and wheat trees, and as soon as the creation is completed, they collect the given crops from there. Also, various ceremonies are held here, especially the big Durga Puja of the Hindu community.

Here, the work of dipping the Thakur starts from the afternoon till night on the day of Dashami, and then the river is full, and hundreds of boats and hundreds of people can be seen in the river. Besides, people come to spend time at the river ghat every day, especially in the afternoon. People come to spend time at the high embankment that has been built at the river ghat, and in the summer, people especially like to spend time under the big, tall trees.

Besides, people from various poor communities have settled along the river, and they complete their daily activities in the water of this river, especially from bathing to cleaning various dishes. In general, this river is of great benefit to the people, and because of the water of the river, we can introduce our Naogaon city as a beautiful city.
