This is a little late post, but I still want to share a beautiful moment from last Ramadan.
Last Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, I had the opportunity to attend a meaningful and heartwarming event held by the Alumni Association of Dayah Ulumuddin (PADU). The event took place at the Pendopo of the Mayor of Lhokseumawe, a place that looks elegant, clean, and well-prepared for such a special gathering.
As soon as I arrived, I could feel a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The venue was beautifully arranged with a large white and orange tent, neatly organized chairs, and a comfortable open space that made everyone feel relaxed
The event started with a communal iftar (breaking the fast together). People from different backgrounds, all connected through Dayah Ulumuddin, gathered with smiles and a strong sense of brotherhood. The moment of breaking the fast together felt very special, simple but full of meaning. After that, the main agenda began, which was the distribution of donations to 109 orphans. These children come from the extended family of Dayah Ulumuddin, including children of alumni, teachers, and staff who have contributed to the institution.
The chairman of PADU for the 2024–2027 period, who is also the Mayor of Lhokseumawe, Dr. Sayuti Abubakar, shared that this activity is an annual program. It reflects the care and responsibility among alumni to support each other, especially those in need. He emphasized that maintaining this spirit of togetherness is very important, and events like this are a real example of that value in action.
The leader of Dayah Ulumuddin, Syekh Syamaun Risyad, was also present at this event, along with other senior teachers whose presence brought wisdom, warmth, and a deep sense of respect to the gathering. Seeing them together with the alumni and the children created a truly meaningful atmosphere, full of values, memories, and togetherness. Alhamdulillah, the entire event ran smoothly and successfully from beginning to end.
From the organizing side, the committee did a great job. According to the chairman of the committee, Yudi Hardiansyah, all the donations were collected from the alumni themselves through internal contributions. This shows how strong the bond is among them. It is not just about giving, but about sincerity, unity, and remembering where they come from.
Overall, this event was not only well-organized but also full of positive energy and meaningful moments. The place, the people, and the purpose all came together beautifully. Hopefully, activities like this will continue in the future, spreading kindness and strengthening the connection between alumni and the community.

Even though this is a late post after Eid, the meaning of this moment still feels alive. It reminds us that true success is not only about personal achievement, but also about how we care, share, and give back to those around us. Moments like this are not just events, they are reflections of sincerity, unity, and gratitude. Hopefully, this beautiful tradition will continue to grow stronger every year, becoming a source of blessing, strengthening bonds across generations, and leaving a lasting impact for everyone involved.
