From sitting for a horse

A male horse grows old. The sun

Scattered into broken powder

At the end of the sky

The male horse

Think back to the old days,

When he was old.

Well, what is the definition of happiness in life? What it takes for a person to be happy. Fame, fame, money, happiness in married life and so on.

In 2005, Buddhadev Dasgupta made the film 'Kalpurush'. According to Wikipedia, the movie was acclaimed at various festivals and won many awards. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, Rahul Bose, Samira Reddy.

Kalpurush won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and Mithun Chakraborty was nominated for Best Actor.

Sumant (Rahul Bose) is an office official in Kolkata. Although in the same house, he has no relationship with his wife Supriya (Samira Reddy). School teacher Supriya is having an affair with another man. Even their two children- Shanta and Shantanu are the crops of that supernatural.

Sumant returned home from the office. The children are awake for Sumantra. Sumant plays sleep game with them. This kid has no other partner in his life except a black dog along with the two of them. When his wife Supriya speaks to her secret boyfriend on the telephone in the next room in a slow voice, Sumant hears it. But never speak loudly against him. It does not matter if the child is a child or not.

A melody comes to his ears, where he seems to be lost. Whenever Sumantra feels different, feels good or finds herself anew, a flute melody heard as a teenager comes to her ears. This melody is very melodious, no one seems to hear it except him.

Along with this story of Sumant, the story of Sumant's father Ashwini (Mithun Chakraborty) has been narrated in parallel movies. He was a doctor by profession. He lived in a house in Bahrampur with his wife Putul and son Sumant. Ashwini had a relationship with a girl named Ava in her youth. When we meet him after a long time, an intimate scene unfolds with him in the carelessness of the moment. His wife Putul saw that intimate moment.

She decided to go to her father's house with her son Sumant. Son Sumanta got angry and fired at his father with a rifle. Ashwini survived by being shot in the hand. But at one point he committed suicide because he was hurt by the misunderstanding between his wife and son and could not bear the pain of loneliness.

Sumantar met his father. He sits in the restaurant with his father and eats. Dad buys a shirt! That shirt he always saw read. Does he really see his father? Nor does it happen in his imagination. Can't find Dad. It stops.

Again the tune of the flute heard in adolescence. Whenever Shantanu pauses, or finds no answer, the flute melody heard by the teenager rings in his ears. A kind of serenity plays in his body. Does he get the father in the middle of the tune?

The father walks along the beach with the son. Director Buddhadev Dasgupta chose Sagar for the father-son talk.

Ashwin says to Sumant, 'You are different'.

Sumantha tells her father about her life. His wife Supriya left him and went to America. He failed to the whole world.

Sumant is also a happy person. He did not sink into boundless thinking. He is the child of the earth. Whichever way his eyes fall on this world, he can find happiness if he wants. Whether it is the smile of a child, getting wet in the rain water or seeing someone's love. He is happy that he is alive. He is fascinated by everything.

The movie ends with Sumant, her dog and children playing volleyball on the beach in the late afternoon.

Bite the nose, bite the ear, bite the mind,

You are my vine, my Tribhuvan.

There is nose in place of nose, ear in place of ear.

Is there a mind in the place of the mind? The forest sleeps in the forest.

So I bit my mind.
