Acehnese wedding tradition, taking the groom to the bride house

Hello all stemian friends, I hope we are always given health, long life, abundant sustenance and all our affairs are made easy.

Steemit friends all today I want to share stories with all steemit friends. Today my family and I traveled to East Aceh for the "Linto Baro" intention. Because the location I wanted to go to was quite far away, my family and I along with other "Linto Baro" intergroups made our trip at exactly 09:30.

We traveled by riding motorbikes together with other groups, some of the group also took the bus that had been rented out by the "Linto Baro" family. After traveling quite a long way and quite tiring due to very hot weather conditions, around 12 noon we arrived at the bride's house "Dara Baro".

As is generally the tradition of the people of Aceh during the intat linto event, we as a group must wait in advance to wait for the groom to get ready to change the traditional linto Baro clothes that have been provided at the bride's place. After "Linto Baro" finished making up as needed, we, the entourage, formed a neat line, a sign that the groom was ready to be welcomed by the bride's family.

Not only that, the "Linto Baro" group also handed over various kinds of offerings that had been prepared by their families. I see there are various kinds of offerings that must be handed over to the bride.

Apart from this, this offering has become a tradition as well as a form of affection from the groom's family to his new family members.

Usually this offering contains the personal needs of women and also various cakes typical of the Acehnese people. After the welcoming ceremony and handing over of offerings, the group was invited to enjoy the dishes that had been prepared.

We, the group, enjoyed the dishes available at the buffet table very deliciously because the trip was quite tiring.
