Creative Contest of the Week: Two Words, One Story: Love and Hatred by @aparajitoalamin

Two girls, Aisha and Sheema, were inseparable friends in a little town. They were always together and never parted company. They were like one big happy family, swapping clothing and keeping one other's secrets. When it came to friendship, nobody in town could top them.

Ali, a new kid at school, enrolled one day. He was affable, generous, and sharp. His attractiveness was instantly apparent to Aisha and Sheema. Both girls began trying to attract his attention, but he looked more taken with another girlcalled Karina.

Aisha's emotions for Ali became stronger as time went on. She fantasized about a life with him often and could not stop thinking about him. She was interested in him, but she was worried that telling him how she felt might damage their relationship.

Sheema, meantime, grew envious of Aisha because of the way she felt about Ali. As far as she was concerned, Aisha was just thinking about herself. Even Sheema, who had previously denied developing love for Ali, found herself feeling differently.

Aisha and Sheema's affections for each other intensified, and their once tight relationship turned into animosity. A fight broke out between them as a result of Ali. Sheema was accused of jealousy and selfishness by Aisha, while Aisha was accused of not understanding Sheema's emotions. After Aisha confessed her love for Ali and was promptly rejected, Ali revealed his true feelings for Aisha's closest friend, Karina, and their relationship quickly deteriorated.Sheema was secretly pleased that Aisha had not gotten what she had desired, to to the dismay of Aisha.

After that, things between them deteriorated rapidly. They cut off communication and avoided one another. Both of them were honest about how their passions for Ali had twisted their once-solid relationship into a toxic rivalry.

Both Aisha and Sheema eventually got over Ali and started hanging out with other people. They both felt terrible about their behavior toward one another and hoped they could undo the past. In their experiences, they realized that feelings of both love and hatred could coexist in one person and that platonic connections should be valued more highly than romantic ones.
