STEEM ATLAS Curation Guidelines : November 2025

Hello, Steemit Community!

We are glad to be selected as Community Curators for the Steem Atlas project team for the month of November 2025. I would like to express our gratitude to @steemblog on behalf of the entire Steem Atlas Team.

As you might be aware as the Steem Atlas has grown over the months we have added responsibility to see to it that no worthy posts go without proper encouragement.

Steem Atlas project is working tirelessly adding new features and developments the number of posts going up rapidly. I feel to keep the momentum going we all associated with the project need to work harder and carry forward the growth of the project by supporting all the worthy users.

You already know that Steem Atlas is an exciting initiative designed to create a global travel map powered by the Steem community, developed by the @pennsif.witness team. It allows you to pin locations you love and share information about them. It's basically a guide about places with real experience.

What we expect

Your focus should be on a specific place or location, and your posts should comply with the 21 tips for the posting guidelines for Steem Atlas.

Let's say Steem Atlas is not just a directory of tourist destinations but we are open to more places and locations which are useful for Steemit users and also visitors that visit our posts from outside Steemit.

We have already seen many places on the search engines like Google, which are published on Steem Atlas, serving as a guide for people.

Steem Atlas is similar to Wikipedia and TripAdvisor

We include places:

• Tourist attractions and holiday destinations
• Mountains, lakes, and other natural beauty
• Museums and art galleries
• Theatres
• Sports venues and stadiums
• Zoos, safari parks, and wildlife sanctuaries
• Places of worship such as churches, temples, and mosques
• Eating places such as restaurants, cafes, bars, ...etc
• Shops, markets, and shopping centers
• Educational institutions such as universities, schools, and colleges
  In essence, all the places around you

We are looking for the correct location, quality images, details, and useful information about that specific place. So, you should be careful about the following things.

Note: Please avoid greetings etc. at the beginning of your post to make your post more effective

• Details of costs such as entry fee, car parking fee, and details of how to get there. Please include the equivalent price in your local currency and STEEM or USD @current exchange rate.

• If there is a shopping center or anything similar, please also mention their return policy.

• We are expecting your self taken photos, but be selective and use only the best photos you have taken, and make them large and clear. Do not repeat similar or almost similar photos.

• Also include links to more information about the place, such as their website and social media details.

• It will make your post more valable if you include descriptive caption below each photo.

• We are not looking for Diary posts or posts with multiple locations.

• Make sure we are not looking for travel blogs but informative posts that will attract and give an idea to the visitors.

Therefore, based on the relevance to our project, we will vote on the posts under the #steem-atlas tag, considering the below general curation guidelines.

• All posts must be free of plagiarism, and the images must be your own

• We will strictly consider AI-generated content, which is a high level of abuse. (We will check the posts with the detectors)

• Users should not be in the power-down state.

-To execute this curation process efficiently, we have assigned weekly responsibilities as follows

Curation Timetable

The percentage of voting is determined based on the quality of the posts and the correct pin location (30-40%), so it is important to read the guidelines to make your post better.

As per the rule by Steemblog at the end of each week, we will present a report with weekly statistics and the top seven posts selected by the team members.
