Country Representative Report, Ghana 24th September, 2022 to 5th October, 2022.

It is another day and an opportunity to come your way to submit to you the country representative report for Ghana this week and last week. There was a situation beyond control which hindered me from submitting the report. In this report, kindly permit me to bring forward the details of what is going on which has hindered the progress of the Ghanaian community, Steem Ghana. Before I proceed to the report, I would like to encourage all and sundry to hold your passion and keep supporting the steem economy and steem businesses.

Outstanding Steemian

Outstanding Steemian


The outstanding steemian initiative that has existed on the platform for weeks now saw its update again with @edmund.nef as the outstanding steemian for last week. That initiative task steemians to remain consistent and engaging on the platform through posting, voting, commenting and also write a lot of contest on the platform. @analem has become the outstanding steemian for quite a long time now also. The winner for every week receives 5 steem for a good job well done and receives the outstanding steemian tag.

Contest Results

The contest tasked steemians to share the number of steemians they have brought to steemit and what their progress has been. This couldn't receive its result, because a community account that is powering down can not be used to write posts. It is rather unfortunate that as a country representative, I couldn't bring out the results due to situation beyond my control. As a country representative, I apologise for not being able to post the results. I have great conviction that in future this issue can be resolved.

I would like to share with you that with the additional steem power that has been added, I am doing my possible best to support the Ghanaian community. I make sure I visit posts on the platform and give my support to steemians through vote and also encourage them to frequently power up to support the steem economy and also vote on posts. I do this by commenting.

Even though the steem Ghana account initiated power down. I made sure I used the account to comment and vote on posts last week until I realised the power down. Currently, the keys to the community account has been changed. This makes it impossible for me to use the account for community work.

Power Up

Power ups help one to grow on the platform. It therefore become very important that I always power up to support club100 initiative which I am part of and an ambassador. I lead by example therefore, I always encourage steemians to vote at their comment section of their posts and also draw attention of steemians to power up in every introduction of my post.

Present Situation

Steemit Team's initiative is to support steem growth by implementing power up. It is rather unfortunate to report to the entire Steemit body about the power down of the Ghanaian community account, which its members are supported with with vote etc. Currently, all the keys to the community account have been changed which I do not have access to any longer. As a country representative, even though I am entitled to know about the happenings, but to the best of my knowledge those with master keys who are Njaywan and Nattybongo prompted my attention to the power down which I never agreed to such decision. I therefore prompted the Steemit Team and @steemcurator01 of such act by those with the keys at the early part of the power down last week. I couldn't stop it because, from reports these individuals have the master keys. This has caused a lot of disagreements and word exchange on the Steem Ghana WhatsApp platform. Indeed, the Ghanaian community's activeness has declined due to this act. I therefore crave the indulgence of the Steemit Team to save steemit in Ghana by letting us know the way which is best to serve Ghanaians well.

Future Events

We are positive that plagiarism check, which was the cause of the reason the booming was taken out will be intensified to check on posts to give to community credibility. Steemians will also be encouraged most often to frequently power up to support the steem economy. Contest will also be organized to reinvigorate activities on the platform. And outstanding steemian initiative will be intensified.
