RE: Steem-Rep Rep No. 3 - Retirement 🇩🇪 / 🇬🇧

It's your decision. Nothing fundamentally changes, but I'm still sorry that you are leaving this status🙂.

You don't have to be sorry - I'm not either, because I'm not losing anything. A status - a reputation - results from your authentic behaviour and doesn't have to be recorded on paper.
You and I (and many others who want to make a difference) will continue to engage in constructive dialogue. There's no need for a/the "group" - especially as I've never experienced a group, a "team", on Discord or anywhere else where there was so much silence, "so much" no talking... 😉

You don't have to be sorry

Yes I know. But I'm still sorry for some reason. I can't explain it. I thought that the group of Representatives together would be some kind of driving force that could give the platform an extra boost. But I still haven't figured out how to implement it. Each representative conducts many contests, writes many posts, communicates in the comments. It seems that everything is correct, but I still have the feeling that something is missing.

the group of Representatives together

There is no group and I could give you a list of arguments why there is none.

I still haven't figured out how to implement it

You can't implement something like that, it has to develop from an intrinsic intention. There are too many representatives among "us" who are in this position out of a different motivation. And who know exactly why they are silent. Know? Suspect! And that is precisely the problem.
Gosh, there are still users whose "biggest goal" is to become a SR. I want to shout "Why?" at them, but I don't want to embarrass anyone (including existing SRs).

conducts many contests, writes many posts

If these are the indicators of a "good representative" for you, we don't need to talk any further.

something is missing

I could also write a long list here (without claiming that I personally "live" every aspect, but I am very team-oriented and know that you can use the strengths of each team member to form a great whole...) but I would like to name the two most important missing factors: A sense of community and COMMUNICATION.
Communication from all sides: As long as too many don't communicate (authentically) because they are afraid of losing something, and as long as the Steemit Team doesn't explicitly communicate what they expect or simply inform, nothing will happen.

I would like to quote myself and expand on this statement:

You and I (and many others who want to make a difference) will continue to engage in constructive dialogue...

...those who feel comfortable in their "position" with all the supposed advantages (whether they like what they "represent" or not) will not.

😆 Well, contests are fun and sometimes interesting. I think contests help the development of the community, especially newcomers. But about "many posts" - I babbled too much 😉.

I have to agree with everything else you've said😔.

Never mind. Every now and then I like them, too. Every now and then... ;-)
