My fellow Steemians

Friday, May 17, 2024, must have been one of the busiest days ever for Steemians. The new format for curating teams was announced. Steemians were like bees in a bonnet trying to find a place in a team.
I myself was woken up by Discord and WhatsApp messages coming in.

Through this, I have learned a valuable lesson: don’t give up! I take my hat off to those who carried on day after day searching for a team, some still searching.

My feedback for the week.

Steem For Ladies

The community is still running smoothly.
The only problem I can report on is the fact that we experienced problems with our booming votes this week.
Thank you to the team for lending a helping hand and for sorting it out.

My duties:

1. Curation and verification of posts on my day of duty as well as filling in on the days of others
2. Educating and monitoring 7 moderators
3. Validating MOD verifications
4. Verifying new members
5. Booming posts submissions and community voting
6. Taking care of community notifications and comments
7. Writing of 2 community posts
8. Monitoring and running of community contests
9. Lending a helping hand to members of the community
10. Approval of moderator contests

General:

In total, nine Steemians were helped individually through WhatsApp, Discord, and numerous others on the platform.
I don't think Steemians knows the time and effort that goes into helping them; therefore, I want to mention one thing. I can give you advice, but it is up to you to implement it, and if you don't, just know there won’t be a second time.

Africa:

Supporting and helping my fellow Steemians from Africa is still a priority for me.

Issues encountered:

A big problem is that Steemians are contacting me directly and asking for votes. My friends, I cannot do this. There are thousands of Steemians who are also desperate for votes.
I want to highlight what the Steemit team wrote in their curator application post on Friday.

Finally we would like to remind everyone that they should not contact the Community Curators asking for votes, or to be selected as a Post of the Week. Anyone found doing this may be barred from receiving any @steemcurator0x or @booming votes.
