RE: Forty eighth Week as a Steem Representative - CW 31
Quite right...
The Steemit team is gradually moving away from its self-imposed but poorly established role as leader and is instead supporting genuine decentralised and creative efforts from within the community.
Our various support packages and mechanisms were introduced after the split with Hive to provide much needed incentives to help rebuild the community.
We are gradually pulling back from our more prescriptive interventions with the hope that the community will bring forward suitable initiatives of its own to help the platform grow and thrive.
That's how I understand it and that's great! You have my full respect for the step you took back then and the step you are taking now. I think the community is willing and able to develop itself further. Maybe it's a different cadre than those who carried SEC and other activities (in front of them). Oh well.
Communication is Key!
While it's true that the team can't respond to every single post or suggestion, there's still room to foster engagement and provide clarity. What if they introduced a regular blog, post, or incentive program on a weekly, biweekly, or even monthly basis? It could serve as a consistent way to communicate updates, acknowledge contributions, and keep everyone in the loop.
