Fisherman's Friends (2020) – Movie Trailer
Let’s make a small excursion out of the Hollywood and land in Cornwall, UK, where the story of the movie Fisherman's Friends takes place. This interesting movie is distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films and it is based on a true story which makes it even more appealing… It had already premiered in a lot of countries in Europe and other parts of the world, but now it is time to get premiered in the US. The premiere is scheduled for the May 2020.
The story follows ten fishermen from Cornwall, who were spotted by a tourist Danny, and he has opened new views for them and their future. In the beginning, nobody would say that they will be signed by Universal Records and that he will achieve a top ten hit with his debut album… Not even themselves…
The director of the movie is Chris Foggin, known for his works in the movies The Double (2013), The World's End (2013), or Friend Request Pending (2012), with Judy Dench in the main role. The movie is written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft (St. Trinian's (2007), Blithe Spirit (2020)), with help by Meg Leonard (A Knight's Tale (2001), Finding Your Feet (2017)).
In the main roles are James Purefoy (TV Series Rome (2005-2007), The Following (2013-2015), A Knight's Tale (2001)), Daniel Mays (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Mr. Nobody (2009), The Bank Job (2008)), David Hayman (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008), Sid and Nancy (1986), The Jackal (1997)), Tuppence Middleton (The Current War: Director's Cut (2017), The Imitation Game (2014), War & Peace (2016)), Dave Johns (I, Daniel Blake (2016), The Keeper (2018), Two Graves (2018)) and others.
