I believe you should translate old Chen into Master Cen, which would be better. If you use Senior Chen we expect a junior to show up.

You make a fantastic point about his name. In Chinese, "Lao Chen" (Old Chen) is often used as a casual term of endearment and respect for a veteran. But you are absolutely right—in English, "Master Chen" sounds so much more badass and fitting for a veteran warrior wielding a fusion blade! I love this suggestion and will definitely adapt his title to "Master Chen" for the English readers moving forward.
