When it comes down to it, a woman isn’t safe anywhere. What’s more, most women are murdered in their own homes – and by someone they know, no less! That says it all. I’m now wondering whether this route is the walking trail I once saw in a documentary, but I don’t think so.
I used to play in the street too, and so did my children, for that matter. Paedophiles have always existed, just like ‘child lures’, as we used to call them. I can still remember being at primary school and being told that we weren’t allowed to walk through the park. Incidentally, we were also told when the perpetrator had been caught. But let’s be honest, are you, are humans, ever really safe anywhere? The feeling of safety has to come from within, and of course you can also learn self-defence techniques – it makes a huge difference to your attitude.

Unfortunately, women were not well equipped by nature to survive. But then there's the ability to react. I always wonder why women don't gouge out the eyes of rapists or attackers. But I don't know what I would do in that situation.
The issue of pedophiles is worthy of a conspiracy theory, seeing how they were protected, for example, within the Catholic Church.
And going back to the topic of being prepared, I believe that every woman should learn some kind of martial art.
I practiced Jiu-Jitsu for a while until my teacher started behaving inappropriately. And I'm not even pretty, which just goes to show that nobody's safe forever.
