The more I go through the communities, the more I feel that the rewards and sustainability are dependent on the members, particularly the experienced ones. Reading through all the posts, giving out, without the continous check and balance the reward system, there is nothing here,

Today it seems a lot has changed but if it comes to the fact that most Steemians have no idea what PoB is and how the system was designed. The idea is that upvote another and everyone does his share and we all can grow.
Just a few earn today. Friends and family first plus a few corrupt ones. There are also who earn because they use upvotebots. Let's say it is the "interest" for their investment, if that investment is still there.
We did and tried a lot (see all the issues of the past years @hive-152479), but as long as the biggest group doesn't invest because they simply have olzero, there will never be improvement not a higher value of Steem.
What the average posts here is terrible, far from interesting and no soul will pay for it.
The last try are the games but are not good enough to attract outsiders let alone investors.
