There is actually a storyline reason for that: in the digital purgatory and network abyss, Grandpa's avatar is frozen in time. He appears exactly as he did in my childhood memories, long before the harsh cyberpunk reality and heavy biomechanical modifications took a toll on his physical body. The AI just perfectly captured his "digital soul" instead of his physical shell!

I use tools to help translate and visualize my ideas, but I am the one holding the steering wheel.
