Wow, that's ingenious! Appliances don't last long anymore; today I wanted to make a smoothie and the blender was dead.
My 12 years old blender and TV died around the same time. I think they lasted long enough. But for everything else that I bought in recent years, don't think they can last that long. Even smartphones never last like Nokia did.
It's a blessing that they've lasted so long, considering that planned obsolescence has existed for decades.
But nothing really lasts forever anymore, least of all smartphones. They make me miss my old analog phones, haha.

Yes. Those days we send things to be repaired. Everything was so precious. These days we can't even find the spare parts.
