The holy month of Ramadan has arrived. From the time of dawn to the time of opening the fast, enduring our hunger and thirst for the sake of Allah, avoiding evil, and actively participating in good deeds are the basic goals of Muslims. We all strive to please Allah, maybe He forgive us..Thanks Allah

I wish you a happy Ramadan, but I do wonder what fasting actually entails, because if you can eat after sunset, and sunset here is already at 4 p.m. until sunrise, then you have quite a few hours of eating behind you. I only eat once a day myself, so in that respect I've been fasting pretty much my whole life. Carnival is over here, so now it's fasting until Easter. I don't think that will be too difficult for many carnival revellers, who have of course drunk themselves silly with alcohol.

It is exactly like that, but it is not just about stopping hunger and thirst that one gets sustenance. Rather, it is about avoiding evil and performing as many good deeds as possible to please Allah, including helping the poor, breaking the fast, and providing food to someone's house. Apart from all these, keeping oneself busy in the worship of Allah Almighty, etc., is part of fasting. And the greatest joy is that its reward is due to Allah Himself. Because in Ramadan, the devils are locked up. And He is the Lord of countless rewards and rewards.
