A Night Ride to Remember
15 March, 2026.
We had a plan to shop for my partner at night. But the evening was tough for me. I had some arguments with him. So, I was not in the mood to go outside and shop. But it was quite necessary because it was his Eid shopping and he won't go without me.
I again made some arguments (stubborn me 🥲) and after several times of mood swing, I finally got that mood at 11:00 PM. Our apartment lift closes at 11:30 PM 🙂. However, he is so good that he got ready too.
It was actually less shopping and more fixing my mood. I love the city life at night. This is my dream. And it feels great when I witness my dreams are coming to truth 🥹.
We ride bike and shop first. I like shopping too no matter for who I'm shopping 😁. So, mood was fixed and I was ready to return home. It was almost 12:00 AM. But he speeded up the bike and gone through a different route 😯.
I didn’t ask anything until the bike was going slow. Actually, it took me some time to observe what was going on. And yeah...then we roamed around the whole city 🥰. I couldn’t have asked more 🥹.
There is oil shortage in Bangladesh. We needed octane since we'll be travelling across different cities soon. We decided to fill up the whole bike tank. So, we went to many station but they were closed. We were talking with this station staff and then another biker came...It was very sad that his bike was dead already 🙂.
So, we decided to return home and was quite sure we wont get any octane that night. It was nearly 1 AM and we stopped to shop more. Then we ahead to our home. Suddenly, out of nowhere, we discovered that a nearer station was still selling. And of course there will be long line. So, we stood in the queue and filled the tank 😇.
And finally we returned home with a happy heart. The lift was closed but we managed the guard to turn it on. It was almost 1:40 AM when I went to make omelets. And then had dinner and suhoor together. Went to sleep at nearly 2:15 AM after a very tiring day 😪😴.
