A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

A tall wall divided the property adjoining the house of the K. brothers. They never saw their neighbor or neighbors, but they heard things.

No matter the time of day, movements could be heard that resembled military parades, footsteps moving rhythmically.

At other times, murmurs could be heard that seemed like prayers or whispers of people reading something.

One day, the K. brothers decided to find out what was happening in that place, and as soon as they pressed their ears against the wall, they turned into statues of lime.

Sin importar la hora del día, se escuchaban movimientos que parecían desfiles militares, pasos que se movían rítmicamente.

En otros horarios se escuchaban murmullos que parecían rezos o susurros de personas leyendo algo.

Un día, los hermanos K. se decidieron a averiguar lo que pasaba en aquel lugar, y apenas pusieron las orejas pegadas a la muralla, se convirtieron en estatuas de cal.
