“It’s my party and I’ll invite whoever I want,” the girl huffed, glancing sideways at her mother, who clutched her head with a weary expression.

That day, she prepared snacks and cake for 50 friends, only to discover at party time that they were all imaginary friends of the birthday girl.

She collapsed onto the couch, laughing silently as she thought that next year’s party would be imaginary too.

If she can invent 50 friends, a cake, and trays of sandwiches, the rest shouldn’t be a problem, she mused, stretching out her legs and settling in comfortably, since it was just her and her daughter.

Ese día preparó bocaditos y pastel para 50 amigos que llegado el momento de la fiesta descubrió eran amigos imaginarios de la cumpleañera.

Se dejó caer en el sillón mientras reía en silencio mientras pensaba en que el año que viene la fiesta también sería imaginaria.

Si puede inventar 50 amigos, un pastel y unas bandejas de sandwiches no sería mayor problema, pensaba mientras estiraba las piernas y se ponía cómoda ya que estaban solamente ella y su hija.
