RE: The Wall

in CCC24 days ago

I liked the story, and it reminded me of what an archaeologist-YouTuber said about how the Western Wall was built in a Muslim neighborhood that was demolished to create it and have something "historical." It's amazing to think that many people go there and believe it's something worthwhile, without knowing that it was literally built on the cries of people expelled from their homes.

In any case, it’s a tourist attraction and no one will ever know the wall’s true history. Of course, no one’s interested in that either: a strange wall in a strange country where everyone’s at each other’s throats, and that’s supposed to be the so-called chosen people. I just don’t get it.

I just can't understand what the hell wanted the British Empire when proposed that Palestina should be Jude when promised a musleen state in the same land to the Palestinian. They are evil.

There's a lot I don't understand. Same for what happens on this platform. One moment everyone from Palestina is ignored and scolded and all of a sudden the media changes the news and they are no longer evil.
If it comes to evil it's always about greed and power. No Empire is free from that and for some strange reason they all seem to believe they have the right to start wars at the other side of the world.

In the 80s there was a song: That bomb will never be dropped, well... time changed that.

I don't like to condone violence, but I'm not in favor of turning the other cheek; it's something my Catholic upbringing never instilled in me. I believe everyone has the right to defend themselves. How many years did the international community allow apartheid in South Africa? I think Mandela wasn't removed from the terrorist list until 2010 or thereabouts. What they did with the creation of the State of Israel was to create a pretext for oppressing Muslims. I also don't doubt that a good proportion of them would slit our throats without hesitation if they could because we're "infidels," but then I see what sects do in the heart of the US and I say that no one has the moral right to condemn the beliefs of others. There are many criminals hiding behind religion.
