A few more hours
Looking at the clock with eyes half closed, Milly sighed heavily and got up slowly, trying to go into auto mode to get her butt to work. After getting ready, Milly dragged her feet out of the house and walked to the train station. She paused and looked into the sky. Nice blue sky with puffy clouds, she thought.
Milly tapped for the barrier to open, and walked into the train station, taking the escalator to the platform above. She waited for 3 minutes and stepped into the train. Balancing herself for 20 minutes in the train as it moved and stopped a couple of stations, she arrived at her destination station. Milly walked out of the train and towards her office building across.
At the entrance, there were 2 coffee vending machines, Milly half thought of getting one but she wasn't in the mood and continued walking up to her office. After 10 minutes of walking and taking 2 lifts, she tapped into her office and went to her seat. She opened her bag, took out her laptop, power adapter and plugged in.
Milly checked her emails, and started to get to work, replying to emails, went into discussions and reviewing follow-up items to prepare for proposals and quotations. At the end of the morning, her stomach started to growl. She started scrolling online, thinking about where to eat for lunch. And then, the thought came to mind, that it was just another few more hours to go before she goes back home. She can't wait.
And then, tomorrow returns and everything repeats itself.
