A Very Unusual World

I’ve now watched several of these films and I must admit that I was immediately charmed by the opening scenes: a world in which it was mainly older people who were engaged in all sorts of handicrafts. A world that no longer exists in reality. In that episode, I noticed that there were many Chinese (Asian) details, even though the characters look Western.

If you’ve watched one video on YouTube, you’re served the second one, and I found this one incredibly tedious and could barely sit through it. Yes, the visuals are still beautiful – at least to me it all seems like a fairy tale – but the music... I soon got fed up with it. The vocals, the melody, everything is the same, and you soon stop paying attention to the lyrics.

The creator actually wants to create a moment of calm for the viewer, but when it comes down to it, I actually find these videos a bit too long die to the repetitive music (time), composed by Suno, that’s slowly starting to get on my nerves. Because of that, I find it hard to concentrate on the lyrics, which certainly aren’t bad. There are definitely some really good lyrics in those videos.

Is this art? For me, making a video like this certainly is, although the music could do with a bit more variety and perhaps the videos should simply be a bit shorter... there are now three seasons, but I have no idea how many films there are in a season.
Some videos are easier to watch than others; for me, the difficulty lies in the length x music, which makes it very monotonous and I quickly get distracted, something that surely isn’t the intention of a film meant to be a distraction from daily life,one that should bring peace of mind.

The last video is for those creative minds, the ones with imagination. As you can see, there's nothing wrong with talking to your teapot and having fun with a fan. No need for AI or humans to bring joy into your life by keeping you company (no, I don't believe happiness is a choice).

If only life were as simple and harmonious as it is portrayed in this world. Perhaps we need to grow older first and retreat into our own little world, something that reminds me once again of Alzheimer’s patients, and in particular those with fond memories or who are creative enough to find something joyful in everything. Being happy is an art in itself.
