Actually I do believe there are no feelings for those abandoned... there's no need to think, notice pain and think twice... Loneliness? It's just a trick of the brain, a feeling and feelings are made up and don't count... not even if you suffer or die in front of their eyes they will reach out or even blink...
Will it last? Not if you fight it except for those feelings. they will pop up at the most unexpected moments especially if the need to fight, to survive no longer exists.

All we can do is live for ourselves—at least, if those idiots don't try to meddle in it.
Living for yourself is the best... so is living far away from everyone. At least it works for me. Not answering phonecalls also helps (switching off works great).
I haven't been answering most calls for many years, unless they are unavoidable like deliveries or the bank. It takes me months to gather the strength to respond sometimes; it just feels too difficult. I’m planning to send out my Chinese New Year greetings in advance, and then I’ll likely turn off my notifications again for a while.
