I don’t think it’s really about whether time passes quickly or slowly. It’s more to do with how active you are, how many tasks you get through in a day. If you’re having fun, time flies. But if you’re sitting in the doctor’s waiting room for what feels like an eternity on a hard wooden bench with terrible back pain, on the verge of collapsing at any moment, then 30 seconds feels like an age.
