Luckily not in our business, because we basically serve from a window. There might not be any way for the public to access it because it's a pretty small space lol.
However, we have been robbed twice, once when we weren't home, and another time when my parents left a back door unlocked.
But in this country as a whole, stealing from businesses by pretending to be customers is almost a professional practice. Unfortunately, for some people, that's a "job."
By the way, didn't you resign and give early retirement? Or is this your notice period with the company?
Oh yes. I’ve already given up quite a lot. I no longer work at the charity shop, I’ve stepped down from the board, and I’ve stopped working. I’ve stopped taking painting lessons, left the painting group, and I have a few fewer ‘friends’. The only thing I’m still doing is helping out at the shop whenever I want to, can, or feel like it. But that will come to an end soon too.
Firstly, I’m leaving, and secondly, the shop is moving too to a village about 1.5 hours travelling from me. It is about time.
I think it's okay to let go of activities that no longer bring you joy. By the way, about the painting classes, you can watch tutorial videos online and choose what interests you.
My uncle was a good painter, but I don't know if he studied for very long. He said that at the art school they made you paint shadows of vases for years!
