A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Hello my dear Steemians,

It was a little farmer home where lived an elderly couple, they decided to down size their farm and some many cattle the only they left their lovely cow Pinky only because it was pregnant and was expecting a little calf. Apart from it they also had some chicken but sold of them and only little chick was left because they have overseen it in a barn. Once everything was sold the couple noticed a little chick and decided to keep it as it was so little and did not require much work.
One day it was so far and Pinky brought a little calf into this world, it went easy and within short time the baby calf was there. It was strong and healthy. Everyone was happy to see this new life.
Now, despite of less animals and birds on farm they still have two little babies one was a chick and another was baby calf. They both lived in a barn and spent time exploring farm together, so that they thought they belong to the same family and they are siblings. They slowly grow and a chick became a young chicken.
Every day the baby calf was going to his mother and drunk her milk. The little chicken always was watching with surprise and though why he not able to drink like a baby calf. He always followed him to feeding time and was watching with surprise and always wonders what kind of taste this warm white drink should have and if one day he also will be able to taste it...

I wonder if keeping chickens isn't easier than a cow. Own eggs would be a healthy meal.
Please, use an original title next time. Not the one of the contest.
Thank you.
Hi, yes, maybe it is easier to keep chicken, on other hand this summer there were many cases of Avian Flu and many farms had to kill their domestic birds, it was so sad to see how many of birds had to loose their lives.
Thak you for notification, I will use my own topic for contest post.
With us this only happens because too many chickens are kept together. I kept them for many years and they never been ill (eaten yes).
I can't help thinking that it's every few years the same. They kill the chickens, they kill the cattle and in the end there are fewer and fewer farmers. Chickens are also good to take care of insects and weeds.
A super creative day/week
