LUCIFER; Crime, Humor & Redemption

My Thoughts on the Netflix series Lucifer

Hello everyone!

It’s great to be back sharing another post here. Recently, I talked about a thrilling sniper series I enjoyed, and today I want to talk about another show that kept me entertained for quite a long time. This time, it’s a series that blends crime investigation, supernatural elements, humor, and emotional storytelling in a very unique way.

The series is Lucifer, and after watching it for a while, I finally completed the entire series.

Honestly, it was quite a journey.

The story follows Lucifer Morningstar, who is literally the Devil himself. But instead of ruling Hell forever, he becomes bored and decides to leave Hell to live in Los Angeles. There, he runs a nightclub and unexpectedly becomes involved in solving crimes with the LAPD.

That alone already makes the story interesting, but what truly makes the show special is Lucifer’s personality.

He’s charming, sarcastic, brutally honest, and often hilarious. His sense of humor and the way he interacts with other characters brings a lot of life into the series.

Even during serious investigations, he somehow manages to add humor that makes the scenes more enjoyable.

Another part of the series I really enjoyed was the crime investigation aspect. Each episode usually involves solving a new case, and watching Lucifer work alongside Detective Chloe Decker creates a very interesting dynamic.

Chloe is serious, professional, and focused on justice, while Lucifer approaches things in his own unconventional way. Sometimes he helps the investigation, sometimes he complicates it, but their partnership is what drives many of the episodes.

Their interactions and character development throughout the series make the story even more engaging.

One of my favorite moments in the entire series was a scene where Lucifer shielded Chloe with his wings from gunshots and then flew her out of danger.

That scene stood out to me because it showed a different side of him.

Throughout the series, Lucifer often appears playful and carefree, but moments like that reveal how deeply he cares about the people around him. Seeing him protect Chloe like that was both powerful and emotional.

It was one of those moments that reminds you that beneath all the humor and mischief, there is real character growth happening.

Another thing I appreciated about the show is how it explores themes like redemption, identity, and personal growth.

Lucifer isn’t just solving crimes — he’s also constantly confronting his own past, his relationship with his family, and the question of whether he can truly change.

That deeper emotional layer is what gives the series more meaning beyond just entertainment.

My Final Thoughts;

Overall, Lucifer is a series that successfully combines comedy, crime investigation, supernatural elements, and emotional storytelling.

It’s funny, exciting, and at times surprisingly touching.

If you enjoy shows that mix humor with mystery and character development, this is definitely one worth watching.

For me, the journey of Lucifer Morningstar from the ruler of Hell to someone searching for purpose was both entertaining and memorable.

My Rating: 8 / 10

And even though I’ve finished the series, it’s definitely one of those shows that stays in your mind long after the final episode.
