The Diary Game||11-12-2024||Attending a Graduation Celebration/End-of-the-year Party and A Surprise Visit From Santa Claus
Dear Diary, it's seems like decades
Which Christmas song can you remember so quickly? Santa is coming to town. Sighting this Santa brings a sudden recall of songs I listened to at a tender age, and here I am ready to celebrate with Santa. Today is a beautiful day; the colour of this occasion is red and white. It's Christmas season, so never be left out of the celebration because there is this surety of receiving something, either a package of dream gifts like the one @bossj23 gifted me in the hangout or well wishes decorated in an envelope.
Little bro told me they are having an occasion in his new school. The reason for his entry into this school is to sit for an external examination. As an educationist, one willing to see him scale through academically, I chose the town as a good place for taking his external exams. I know for sure that a place of residence influences character and learning. The exposition is what I am looking at, so I am glad he is here now, though he has to learn how to survive here. Very soon there will be an adaptation to this student lifestyle.
They say the early bird has more proficiency in picking worms on time; if you grasp my point, then you should know that I was an early bird here in this event, but unfortunately, I didn't grasp any worms, as the organisers of this event at this time were still battling on how to make decorations and arrange chairs. Looking at the picture will ascertain that I was the only one sitting here; Where are the rest? Maybe the women are still on their makeup, or maybe the children are still looking for a pair of socks that got lost in the higgledy-piggledy congested room.
Santa didn't reveal his identity, and if you have an idea of phenotype in the course of genetics, you can tell who he is. I decided to take pictures with Santa because I don't know when I will next have the opportunity to take shots like this. Santa made many poses, and as you know, children deeply in love with Santa took their stand and got the shots; Santa's' gift was on the way, but there was no distribution yet.
After a long wait, the MC began; he tried to stir the house by organising the pupils and students for a dance session. Before that, an opening prayer was made by a parent (woman), and then the national anthem was sung. It just struck my attention that I can't sing the newly imposed national anthem; this event today is going to move me to practice this anthem from today.
After this was a welcome address by the principal, a slim, tall-looking lady, very intelligent, made a speech, quoting precisely, urging the students to be of good behaviour and be ready to showcase their talent, proving to their parent their quality training in this institution. She also assured parents that apart from their children displaying this, they are always part of the occasion, as without them, nothing would have been possible.
Unaware of the order of events, I heard the Mc call the graduands to march into their seats. I was so surprised, so this occasion pronounced to my hearing as an end-of-the year party was in conjunction with graduation, the graduands marched in as we made a standing ovation in their honour.
Later presentations were made in different classes and it started with a lower class, the nursery section stormed the stage with boldness accompanied by marching in song, like I said before children are blessed with excellent voices and it pitched high on the speaker tweeters, they sang beautiful Christmas song, they asked never to leave the stage if they don't get support from their parent, though I wasn't a parent but seeing the excellent song performance, I wondered if I was ever able to stand among the crowd at this age to sing Christmas carols, so I move to give them maximum support, an offering on a tray for encouragement, it wasn't long after this.
I gave the kids some amazing shots, and then I left as I had other events to attend; I knew food and drinks were in abundance because I saw when teachers were cooking it was an amazing event which happened LIVE in Jupepasil International School. @stef1, @vivigebelis, @wakeupkitty, I believe Santa should have started his philanthropic act over there. MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR in advance from SANTA CLAUS in Nigeria
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.

Hi, we are so glad we could attend the graduation ceremony there with the pictures you shared. As good citizens, of course we must memorize the national anthem that is sung, so start learning...
You gave the children some shots? What kind of shots?
I try to remember what Christmas song comes to my mind. My mind remains black. I really should think but most likely it is: Dreaming of a White Christmas
Love to watch is but I don't need a white Christmas.
BTW are the photos old, is Santa early and what about the face mask?
I know if there a snow in that region, then your Christmas is a must white, breathing out cold air from the nostrils, for white christmas I love the song too.
What kinda shot can I give this children than a snapshot, Santa don't come with masks anymore, it's been long I saw that even in Christmas movies year back, the real face should be seen so that the fearful kids will not run behind closed doors. All these photos are recent photos, do you celebrate Christmas?
The masks are horrible. Face expressions are important and so is the sound of a voice. Not to mention how dirty and unhealthy it is to inhale what you exhaled.
We only "celebrate" with a tree and light. We have it simply decorated with wooden figures or made out of "hay". No angles or such things, no presents it's no habit.
I don't visit church, the old habit was at midnight. I don't see any point in freezing to death in a crowded building where those who skip the entire year take the seats. I know the story told but I don't see christians live by the rules or do as preached. It must be something of the human species to break necks without a reason, no animal would do that.
I sent the youngest away to celebrate with the siblings. They flu on Dec 22, old enough to go without me.
I stay with the wolves and the sick cat if still alive. He ate a bit (10 bites and licked a bit) yesterday so my son is happy although he pees blood now.
So I will have 2 weeks of peace and harmony on earth home alone. 😁 No need to cook and everyone knows I don't answer the phone or chat 😉
So if my son buys me juice, milk and cheese I am good.
December 21st is Midwinter, it's where the tree comes from and the good (stored) food like haselnuts, stew, salted and smoked meat, the lights in the darkness and it is hibernate/pyjama film time 😁
🍀♥️
If that's the case then the pores perforation should be like that once I have in my kitchen filter, facemasks are temporary, not worn for a long time, if you are a Christian then make your life exemplary rather than relying on others whose life is not worth the religion, let's let that slide.
Even if you don't stop by the church at least if you celebrate it's fine even if you don't it's okay by you, I feel instead of sending your kids off, I know he is mature but it's time to gather as a family maybe once in two years and make the most out of your day, if I should travel abroad today, I will take mum with me or make sure I visit frequently, if that's not possible then she goes with me, with dad, everyone has their own life to live but i feel the closeness bring more of the joy...
Time to gather together? Is there only one day in the year you do that with your family?
And what will you do if it's impossible for the entire family to be in one place at the same time?
This year I want one of my children not to be alone and that's why the youngest two will go since someone has to stay behind and this time it will be me since my son deserves a holiday too.
I don't believe closeness only comes with Christmas if that's the case it's fake. We speak another daily and I usually travel up and down. Btw I just arrived (the end of October) at my son's and took the youngest with me (she was away for 6 months - at school) so now she travels back with her brother to celebrate (or not) with the other siblings. There's nothing wrong with that. I won't die and if I would hopefully the animals will not be alone too long.
thanks for your reply, it's appreciated and it's good to hear you won't leave your mother behind.
It's harmattan here in Nigeria, a little trek and dust fills the air, so I chose to use my facemask so that on a long trek, I won't inhale much dust, it results in catarrh and cough
Don't wear it too long. I understand it's the same with the hair always dirty due to dust. Stay healthy and safe and enjoy the holidays.
🍀♥️
Ps what was that threat about? No need to answer.
