HOW TO BEAUTIFY YOUR SLIPPERS WITH BEADS

Have you been wearing that slippers for long? Learn how to beautify your slippers with beads and rock them more. This is a DIY project,it doesn't require complicated steps or expensive items, you can try it at home in your leisure

ALL YOU NEED
Polish_20220527_164400174.png
Slippers(new or old) NGN800-6.7 steem
Beads(colour of your choice) NGN300(50 for each of the small pack)-2.5 steem
Fishing line NGN250-2.1 steem
Hand needle(medium size) NGN20-0.2 steem
Total=NGN1,420-30.4 steem
I steem=120NGN

Step 1
Take some fishing line and fix it through the eye of the needle exactly the way you do when you are about to mend a dress. You don't need to double the line, just one line is enough. Tie the line into knots at both ends so it doesn't slip out while you in the middle of the project. Make sure your line is very long,as long as you can handle so that you won't have to keep fixing lines into your needle and your work will be full of tied knots.

Step 2
Stick the needle with fishing line through the back of the strap of your slippers so it comes out in the front and make sure your knotted end holds the line firm to the strap

Step 3
Pick the beads with the needle. You can use any number depending on the size of the strap(I'll be using 4 for each colour since my strap is not so wide). Stick the needle to the other side of the strap so it comes out from the back again

Step 4
Stick your needle from the back so it comes out to the front again and pick the same number of beads you're using and stick to the other end so it comes to the back, you'll have to keep going this way untill the top of the strap in covered with the beads.

Step 5
Since I'm using 3 colours,I decided to change the colour after every four rows of one colour

Added pink coloured ones after the crystal ones

Polish_20220527_171856069.png

Black ones after pink

Step 6
After all three colours have been added in four rows each, start again with the first colour if there is still space left with the steps from 2-5 until the strap is covered.

Step 7
Follow all the steps above for the other side of the strap and the half pair of your slippers. Make sure that beads are firm in place by dragging the line tightly when it comes out from the back so that the beads won't be making noises when you're walking because of spaces between them. Tie the last knot when you're done, you can use candle to make it stick to the strap. But if you cannot use candle fire, knotting about 3 times will do the trick.
The result is the top picture

CONCLUSION

This is the simplest way to make your slippers or plain sandals look more beautiful. Steemit ladies can try this out for themselves
I hope the tutorial was clear enough
