The Diary Game |05 may 2022 - Stressful Clerance Day.

My dearest readers I greet you all, I hope you all are doing well and ok. Today I want to narrate to you how my day went. It was very stressful and tiring and you would know why in a bit.

Morning

As per normal, we have clearance every first week of the month but this one was bound to be different because after the close of school session most corpers went home including myself. Going home means I was unable to attend the community development service (-Cds) of which there where two for the month of April. One of the CDs was a peace walk and sanitation, yes I knew about it but I did not have money for transportation to come back to Eket from Port Harcourt so I stayed at home and pleaded with a friend that stayed back to help me write my name in the attendance list.

So this morning I went to the secretariat and for them to sign on your clearance letter for you to proceed to the biometrics they would check your name on the attendance, I became worried thinking my name might not be there so when the list was finally pasted I saw my name I was thankful to God and my friend.

The journey to sign it was tough as they where signing by meeting point of the various school for the peace walk and everyone was jam packed and pushing, finally my paper got signed only for me to hear that the system for the biometrics has gone off and would be really recharged for the next one hour. Ha! I was already tired and very hungry, I went to sit at a place waiting patiently. Then after a long waiting while it came back on, corpers still jam packed and pushing each other, they tried to arrange but nobody was listening so the L.I (local inspector) went out to eat. Me and my friends decided to go get some snacks, we went to Kilimanjaro but there meatpie was finished so we had to go somewhere else (Big Daddy coffee shop) there I got doughnut and meatpie with water because I am doing no soda challenge.

Afternoon

By after 2pm I and the other Corpers where still there just that now everything was moving smoothly and it wasn’t rowdy. Getting to my turn the laptop went off again, I wanted to cry at this point I had to wait for it to charge and that was about another 1 hour which I stood for all through.

At last I did my clearance and went on my way to the bank to get my BVN printout which is a requirement for the verification process on Monday.

When I got home, I just slept. I woke with stomachache and rushed to the restroom after which I got medication and food (-rice and beans).
