Day 4 of the Aba Steem Road was something else. Here is how it went down: Friday 10/9/2021
Introduction
Massive awareness is being created for Steemit in Nigeria through the Steem Road Show. This is the 4th day in the city of Aba, Abia State. Friday was one of the days we have chosen, so the team came out en mass to support the Road show. For the day, we decided to go back to Abia State Polytechnic for the Road show. The weather that yesterday morning was not particularly great, but we defied the odds to attend. We did not regret it either.
From the Center to Abia State Polytechnic
The initial team comprised of 5 persons that were ready from the center. They are @samuel20, @ninapenda, @jokkystar, @focusnow and @ladyofpolicy. 5 of us set out from the office. We took a chattered taxi to to the location so it was easy to move as a team. At the venue, we were able to set up the Roll up banner by 10am. We began without delay although it was drizzling. I took a few pictures immediately we arrived. Take a look:
My Personal Efforts
I swung into action almost immediately to talk to people about Steemit and share the fliers. The first person I met was Victor. I walked to him and asked if he had joined STeemit and we began the conversation. He asked questions and was so interested. Unfortunately, his phone was bad and he was still fixing it. He will be signed up on Sunday because I have been in contact with him. I also spoke with other people like Victors friend. Yes Victor was s impressed he went and brought his friend. We really tried to sign him up since he had a working phone, but his email was a big challenge . The code was not coming as expected. So I also told him we will do it on weekend when his is free. I also spoke to many other persons and took selfies with them as can be seen below:
Unscheduled Presentation inside a lecture hall
Already 12 noon, @meymeyshops told me she knew a lecturer and asked me to accompany her into Abia State Polytechnic. We went to the lecturer's office and we chatted a lot. He then arrranged a class for us so that we can make a presentation to them. We never planned for this, but we had no choice. I and @meymeyshops spoke to about 30 students and they were all excited. I helped some sign up, and two of them will publish their introduction post tomorrow. I signed up the following in the lecture hall: @kylestanley, @geraldu. I also helped @fridayluke.

Refreshment after the Show
We have a culture to rest and refresh after each Road Show. Believe me, standing on the road for two hours is not the easiest thing to do. So I took the team to Chicken republic. Its a fastfood eatery openednot too long ago very close to Abia State Polytechnic. There, we bought soft drinks and some chicken pie to cool down our system. We also chatted about many things including the Road Show, Cyrptoacademy, Steem Power and a lot of things. We had fun. check some of the images.

Friday was our biggest attendance yet in our Road Show. We had a total of 12 volunteers who supported our Roadshow.

Conclusion
We are creating a lot of awareness for Steem through the road show. Almost everyone that we met said they have not heard about Steemit before. So apart from the signups, people are getting to learn about Steemit and it is really huge. We thank all the volunteers and wish them well as they work with us in promoting Steemit to every doorstep in Nigeria
