MY TOP 10 Mobile Apps - And Why I Choose Them? /by @holayemine / (100% Powered Up)
I am very happy to partake in this week contest organized by @steemalive, about our apps usage. Though I just changed my phone last week, the activities on the apps are not yet much compared to if I use my former phone for this contest. I will like to go straight to itemize my top 10 apps and why I choose them.
A. WHATSAPP
This is a social media application and I don't know of whom that doesn't have or open this app everyday. It is my most used app everyday! I can't count the number of times I open it per day.
Chatting on WhatsApp is so seamless and simplified that no tutorial or training is needed before one can use the app.
I don't like telegram and the rest because they look complicated to me and they don't reach larger population compared to WhatsApp.
I've been using WhatsApp for more than 5 years.
B. FIRST MOBILE
It is a financial/bank tool. The app was exclusively created by firstbank and for firstbank customers. It reduces the banking stress and gives better understanding about my account. I read my bank statement history on the app even before they send it at the end of the month.
Though firstbank is my preferred bank and also using the app doesn't come with extra stress; no special codes required like GT app.
I've been using the app since 2014.
C. TRUECALLER
It's a utility app. It helps to recognize callers and also flags spammers. I don't really know a rival app to Truecaller but the functions of the app is awesome. Though it may display wrong name (which is not a fault of the app) but it can be edited and the suggestions it gives is more than 80% accurate. It also helps me in my work, I detect the operator of mobile numbers fast on truecaller.
I've been using the app for more than 5 years but using it better since last year.
D. CHROME
It is a browsing app. I so much love and appreciate the functions of the app, it doesn't lag and it gives quality view. It is my goto app for every links and websites I want to open. It operates seamlessly to me and not heavy compared to other apps.
I've been using the app since 2014.
E. WPS OFFICE
It is a utility app. It helps with opening of Word, PowerPoint and Excel files. The app is not heavy like others and it's 3-in-1 functions makes it nice. I can also create Word, PowerPoint and Excel document with the app
I've been using the app for more than 5 years.
F. MICROSOFT SWIFTKEY
It's a utility app. The app is used for typing. I prefer the setup and arrangement of the keyboard to the default keyboard and the suggestions comes handy. It supports multiple languages and also it has translation options. The keyword can be operated with one-hand or floated to any part of the screen.
I've been using the app for more than 3 years.
G. FOOTBALL TV
I use to watch football matches on this mobile app. It shows the competitions and also list the matches played under it with different channels that airs it. It doesn't crash more like other apps I've tried. It shows other channels even when there are no matches.
I started using the app in the beginning of this year.
H. CAMSCANNER
This app really helps to scan documents. I can't remember the last time I visited computer center to scan. I only needs to snap and scan the document or even crop the image. The size of the app is small and it doesn't lag or crash. It is so easy to use and it's widely acceptable.
I've been using the app for more than 5 years.
I. BINANCE
Binance is a utility app. It is used to know the state of cryptocurrency and see the rise and fall of coins. Selling and buying on Binance is P2P in #nigeria and the P2P is fast and reliable. Charts, data and information gotten on Binance are true reflection of what's happening in cryptocurrency world. The navigation of the app is simplified.
I started using the app in the beginning of this year.
J. EVERNOTE
I use this app to pen down whatever comes to my mind and if I have a plan, I use this app to schedule it. It enables me to attach my mail and I'm able to access it anywhere I login. It offers more than typing like other apps I've used, it has options like reminder, audio, attachments and the likes.
I started using the app 2018.
I still have many apps I use regularly but for the purpose of this contest, I've presented my top 10 apps.
