ProWriters hub (w8) Challenges make us stronger - My story

The word challenge is one of the strongest word that can change everything about you in a second. Some people call it problem but I call it training. When you face difficult challenges in life, look at it in a positive way. You will see that it is training you for another day. Here are some of the things challenges have thought me personally.

• To rely on God all the time

• It thought my humility

• It changed the way I use to pray

• It helped me to understand the world better

• It thought me how to respect both young and old

• The list of what I learned through challenges are much

Mention at least 3 challenges you have faced in life.

• Poor health
• Death of my my first daughter
• Lost of money

What was the challenge? :The Challenges are serious health challenges that make think i have lots it. It happened in 1992, I couldn't walk for months. My joints became stiff and refused to bend. I was taken to different places for cure but to avail. One day I read experience of a young girl who was born the year I was born who told her mother on her sick bed to have hope.

Her condition was worst than my own because it was lukemia. I read it several times and saw the amount of hope she had though she will die because she died the day I read her experience. I told myself, you are not sick, you will survive. Another Challenge is the Death of my first daughter It was my first experience to be with a sick child to the point of death. The most painful part of it was when my brother in-law instructed me not to cry as they carried her dead body in the hospital. On our way to the house, he also reminded me that and told me that I should not answer people when they are asking me how she died.

I became more confused about everything thing. Uncontrollable tears was flowing down on my chicks like a river. The third challenge was lost money in a business I have been in business right from early age, first my mother's busines and from 1992 my own business. I have gain so much and lost so must too.In 2021 I lost so much in busineses to the point that, if you are talking of busines, it is as if you are not getting it .**But will i stop busines? Not at all.

How did you feel at the time? : I felt so bad when facing the 3 challenges I mentioned. I was emotionally, mentally and physically distressed.I looked very old when I was sick. In fact if not for God, what you are seeing today will not be possible. Looking at my thumbnail you will understand how I felt.

Did you receive help from anyone to cope?

Jehova the God of comfort, comforted me in so many ways. My christain brothers and sisters helped me. Some of my friends and busines partners supported me too. I also kept myself busy during all this period. I did not isolate myself.

How did overcoming the challenge make you feel?

It make me know that whatever that goes up must come down. If it takes time to be hot, one day it will be cool. No matter how hot Sun is, it will never burn Zink. No condition is permanent. Today i can tell my story and somebody will learn from it.

What is your advice for people facing this type of challenge

Onye obiara egbule onwe ya. It means, do not kill yourself when you are facing Challenges. Keep praying to God. Trust in him. Try to be busy. Do not isolate yourself. Look beyond what you see. Think about the future not the present.

Conclusion: Always look at challenges in a positive direction. The way you look at your challenges, that is how you will feel it.
