My Mistakes in 2021

IMG-20210930-WA0007.jpg

Before I started the year 2021, I had resolutions for the year just like I'm having for 2022. My plan wasn't to make any mistakes but Along the line, things happened and the following are the few but painful mistakes I made this year.;

  • Not Dedicating Enough time to my Studies

This particular mistake almost ruined my academic life but I thank God for victory over everything. I was being distracted along the line. I got to pay attention to things that didn't really Matter, things like thinking of how to get a job along side with schooling. Things like trying to copy what my friends were doing which include trying to skip lectures some days with the mindset that I'll still write the exams and pass. I started missing lectures and there were weeks I couldn't even attend lecture even for a day. I was really ok with this. Thinking it's normal, After all my friends were doing it too.

I didn't know this was the biggest mistake I'll ever do in my
academic life. My eyes got opened when the exams time table was out. I tried covering the outline but it's wasn't easy for me, I couldn't understand some things and this was something I would have understood it had it mean I attended lectures. During the exams, I tried to answer with the best of my ability and when the result was I discovered that I had a very low score. Thank God I didn't carry over.

  • Going where I wasn't meant to go all in a search of Job

Early this year, when the pressure of having what to do was really too much on me, I posted on my Facebook page that I'm in need of a job thinking it was the best idea not knowing it was my mistake no.1.

After some days of my post, someone messaged me. He told me about some work in a farm, I told him I don't have any experience on that particular work plus the location of the work was really far from me. He said ok and the conversation ended. After some weeks, he messaged me again if I've found my desired work, I told him I haven't, he now told me the salary I was to get will cover up for my transport and I was to work as a secretary so I didn't need to have any knowledge or experience about how to rear animals.

To cut the long story short, I later accepted the job and I was invited for an interview. I was given a location which wasn't really clear but I didn't have time to think about it because I was really in need of the job and this same guy was advising me to be very careful so as to not to fall into the hands of scammers so I trusted him and the job to be genuine not knowing I was in a very big danger. I wouldn't want to go into details of what happened when I got there but it was a place I wasn't meant to return but one way or the other God decided to save me, I was allowed to go home though I was threatened to come back after some weeks after and I'm happy there were later exposed.

  • Not knowing About Steemit Earlier

I came in contact with Steemit September 2021 and I can bet my life has not been the same since then. Once I look back and see the differences between my life without Steemit and my life with Steemit, I do ask myself why I didn't know about it earlier and this is the biggest mistake of my life but I still thank God for everything though.

My 2022 Resolutions

IMG-20210930-WA0007.jpg

Firstly, I'm planning of becoming a better Steemian next year, my plan is to build my SP, become a dolphin, be a star in the academy. I'm also planning of recruiting many newbies, lead them in their Achievement tasks and Steemit life. I'm planning of contributing to the betterment of Steemit.

Secondly, I've always had this dream of going to the fashion school and I was thinking I could accomplished that this year but it couldn't work out so my plan now for next year is to get into the school and become a good fashionista.

Last but most importantly, I'm planning of becoming a good student, taking my studies serious, not trying to copy anybody, being a boss of my own, getting good scores and graduating with a good grades.

Conclusion

To bring everything to conclusion, I commit my year 2022 into God hands because he's the author and the finisher of my Faith and I'm still grateful for him for how my 2021 went because they'll be no correction without mistakes. I can only plan but God is the one to bring everything to pass so I'm praying for the Grace to follow his lead.

Best regards to @steemalive, @focusnow, @ijelady

So sorry about your mistake number. A young graduate who has not yet gone for service loss her life because of this very mistake in my state. She posted it on Facebook as well and immediately, she was invited to interview which ends her live. Her case was all over the internet and the suspect is still alive. I don't know what they are still wasting time investigating instead of killing the idiot at once. Please don't ever look for job over the social media again. You could asked your friends and anyone you know to help you secure a good job.
