SteemAlive Presents: SteemAlive Team Recruitment Contest - Ist Edition ( 35 Steem Prize)

Introduction

Before the commencement of Diary game season 2, @steemitblog encouraged the formation of teams of 5 that will compete for the team prize. We as a community formed 4 teams in total and we are happy they are working hard to compete for the team prize. However, we have extended these teams because we found them very effective for our growing community.

Why the teams are effective in SteemAlive

As our community continues to grow in membership, it became a struggle to personally keep track of each member and check their blog. We are currently 57 in our Whatsapp group chat. Since we saw that supervising the entire members in a single group chat is not so easy, we decided to extend the teams of 5 already formed for the diary game. While the initial 5 members remain intact for the Diary game, we decided to add more members to them. Then, since they already have a team Whatsapp group, we banned our members from dropping their links in the general group. Each person will drop their post links in their group and the group leader monitors the members, encourages them to comment on each other's posts and reports to the SteemAlive leadership. We increased the teams to up to 10 members. Although not all the teams have 10 members. As more people join us, we assign them to teams. So while we use the general group to discuss each day and do meetings, the teams support each other in their groups. This arrangement has made @steemalive very strong in terms of engagement. Our current contest attests to this fact. To further strengthen the teams, encourage healthy competition and engagement, we will run Team contests periodically and we are starting from this.

Our first Team Contest

This first team contest is all about recruitment. We are challenging the teams to recruit up to 20 persons in total by 31st September 2020. The teams currently average 7 members. So they are expected to work as a team and get additional 13 new members before September runs out.

The Prize

Each team will be rewarded depending performance as follows. There will be 1st and 2nd Prize

1st Prize: 22 Persons complete = 25 Steem.
2nd Prize: 16 Persons and above = 15 Steem

Once each team gets to that number complete number, we will split it and form a new team from them.

How to get new recruits

There are many avenues to explore and get new people. Below are suggestions

  1. Your phonebook
  2. Workmates
  3. Schoolmates
  4. Neighbors
  5. Services you use (Barbers, Hair Stylist, etc)
  6. Social media fans/Followers
  7. Association members, etc.

There is still another way to get new recruits. We noticed that 100's of accounts are created on Steemit everyday. These are people that stumbled upon this platform, but have no clue how it works. We noticed an average of 5 new accounts that subscribe to SteemAlive platform majorly new accounts. Some of them make a post or two before giving up, mainly because everything seems confusing and there is no guide.

So we are tasking all team members, especially team leaders, to check our subscribers list. Click on the usernames of these new - and sometimes old - members. Drop a comment on their latest post and offer to assist them join us and learn more about Steemit - in the case of new accounts. You can know a new account through its reputation 25 or a little above it.

Let us reach out to these many people that subscribe to Steemalive and offer to help them join us. You can get team members from this growing list. We currently have 218 Subscribers.
