Hello, steemians from all over the world. Trust you all feel blessed and super fantastic. Today I'll be showing you all how the process of getting garri from cassava tuber.

Cassava is a tuber obtained from under the soil. The cassava stem is put in the soil and then it germinates to the stage of uprooting. When it is uprooted, it is then processed into garri or fufu.
So I want to show the process of turning cassava into garri.
Cassava tubers
Knife for peeling
Water for washing
Grinding machine for grinding
Bags to pack them
Sieve
Basins
Oil for frying
Big pot for frying
Wooden fryer for tuning it.
Firewood for making the fire.
After uprooting your cassava from the farm.
The next thing to be done is the peeling. It will
be peeled and washed.

After washing the cassava, I took it to the cassava mill for grinding.
It was ground very well after which I put them in bags, so it will be compressed to remove the water in it until it's dried.
When all the water was removed, I proceeded to sieve the garri to remove the chaff left from grinding.

After the sieving, I placed my dry pot on the fire and then I poured in just enough for me to fry and started frying.
I just kept turning and turning in the pot so that all the moisture left it.
I added a little oil to it to make the color look bright.
I fry it until it becomes completely dried and light.

One of the challenges in doing this is the heat from the fire, also smoke coming out when the fire doesn't burn well.
So from time to time, I'll reset the fire, and add more firewood to keep it burning well.
When the one added to the pot is well-dried, I'll transfer it to another basin.
Then I'll add another fresh one to fry.
I kept frying in little batches until I was done.
The result is always delicious but the process of making it can be stressful.
The end product called garri
The good thing is when you want to eat it, you won't even remember the pain you experienced while frying it.
The garri came out well-dried and sugary the way I do like it for chewing and drinking.

Hello lady, what a good way to work with cassava, although you said that it is stressful to do the procedure, I think that with the flavor you achieve you forget all the efforts you made to prepare it.

What a wonderful job! Cassava is going through a big process to turn into fried Garri. I'm sure it tastes great... It is always a bit challenging to make healthy homemade foods but, the taste and health benefits make all efforts worthwhile.
