The diary of men might be boring. You won't find alot of chaos, drama or excitement in it but I bet you'll enjoy reading it. The day of a man is a simple day. A routine life where a man tries to live through the day trying to do something that will help him and his family in the future. So let's begin.

It's Ramadan as you all might have an idea, and in Ramadan the Muslims fast from dawn till dusk. Not even water? Yes not even water. After dusk we're free to eat and drink. I don't sleep at nights during Ramadan so my day started at dawn preparing for the suhoor, the breakfast before the fasting begins.

After suhoor, we have to pray our obligatory morning prayers. After being done with the prayers, I try to get some rest. Thank God, I graduated recently and have no work to do this Ramadan. You know, after 8 years, this is the first Ramadan that I am absolutely free, I've got no work to do and I'm utilizing it completely. I focus on my fasting and get rest during the day. Do some house chores, read the Quran, offer my obligatory prayers and just chill. I still remember Ramadan a couple of years ago, the time when the heatwave hit Karachi. It was absolutely unbearable. I used to leave my house, placing a piece of ice on my head and then covered it with a cap. After reaching back home, I used to take a ice water bath just to cool down my body while fasting. This year Alhumdulilah it's not like that.

Anyway, in afternoon my dad informed we that we'll be heading to the seaside to break our fast in the open air, so aeound 5:30 we departed and reached our destination just in time. We had already prepared our food at home and took it with us.

It was surreal experience. The cool breeze gushing across my face as I took a sip of homemade juice and chicken roll, sitting at the edge of the water made me thank God for all the bounties He has provided to us. Watching the sun slowly disappearing in the vast ocean coupled with the loud noise of the waves with birds chirping over my head made me feel alive. In that moment I felt different. As if I was created for small and peaceful moments like this. A wave of tranquility spread throughout my body. Soon it was time for the prayers and I left for the Masjid nearby to offer my prayers.

We packed up and headed straight to home as my brother had to go to the clinic. I go to the gym right after iftaar and today was no different. As soon as I reached home, I changed into my gym attire and packed my bag. Before leaving for the gym, I mixed up my creatine and protein powder to provide me the much needed energy and nourishment.

AT THE GYM

Warmup

My day at the gym starts with warm up. I keep emphasizing on warm-up as I have first hand experience of not doing it. When I first started gym last year, I didn't care about warming up and I had to pay the price. I suffered from frozen shouldere, torn hamstrings and excruciating knee pain. I learned it the hard way. So now, before proceeding on with my routine workout, I warm up for atleast 15 minutes.

RGgukq5E6HBM2jscGd4Sszpv94XxHH2uqxMY9z21vaqHt2utPRmJjcVMQ9i1xbhbeWayvfXpouZcL7buxPvo7bwgWELBLfGqxkrUAHh7PWW98zzLkAuYxBU7rZhgn22.png

The warmup starts with cardio. Five minutes of treadmill, five minutes of elliptical and five minutes of cycling with small intervals of high speed running. This helps me in warming up my entire body as well as circulating the blood flow. Running at a steady pace is the best thing you can gift your body.

After cardio, the next thing in line are my shoulders and hamstrings. I don't ignore these body parts anymore. To warm up my shoulders, it is essential to warm up all the deltoids. The front, lateral and rear delts. I start off with basics, rotating my shoulders. 20 reps 3 sets in front and 20 reps 3 sets in backward movement. This pumps the blood in my shoulders and I no longer feel any pain while working out.

For hamstrings warm-up, this is the best stretching movement you can do. This will stretch your hamstrings as well as the calf muscles. After this, I do push-ups, 20 reps, 2 sets. Russian twisters, jumping jacks, squats, pull-ups. Each excercise 2 sets.

Workout

Today I hit arms. Biceps and Triceps. Starting out with the triceps, I hit the basic, Tricep pushdown with a straight bar. I never film myself in the gym, doing ut for thus post was quite awkawrd. There's nothing wrong that I was doing but it still felt wrong hahaha

ezgif-7-b7b72a0c2a.gifezgif-7-be04d56449.gif

The tricep bar pushdown combined with the rope pushdown is one of the best combination for your triceps. The trick to keep you elbow steady at one position while maxing out the negatives. This will give you a pump that you've never experienced before. After the pushdowns, came the overhead extensions.

ezgif-5-71380450c6.gif

Tricep overhead extensions are the real deal. This one helps you train your triceps in a different plane. It is very important to hit your triceps in different planes for the growth of all three heads. Notice how my elbows are steady in one place. This helps in getting the load completely to the triceps.

RGgukq5E6HBM2jscGd4Sszpv94XxHH2uqxMY9z21vaqHt2utPRmJjcVMQ9i1xbhbeWayvfXpouZcL7buxPvo7bwgWELBLfGqxkrUAHh7PWW98zzLkAuYxBU7rZhgn22.png

After triceps I trained my biceps. As I hit three excercises for tricep, same was the case with biceps. The first one was the simple straight bar bicep excercise. As strange as it may sound, I don't like training my biceps. I dont know why but biceps are on the bottom of my list of my muscles priorities. After the straight bar, I hit the rope.

ezgif-5-2e2040d5eb.gifezgif-5-8af27eacaf.gif

These both combined, helps me in targeting the long and the short heads of my biceps. The drill was simple, 3 sets of 15 reps each. After these, I ended my workout with the preacher curl.

Here comes the most important part of my day. The event I had been waiting since morning. I'm an avid football fan. Be it playing, watching or playing fifa on console. I used to be the football team captain of my school. It's sad how life turned out to be. I enrolled in medicine and since then I didn't get much time playing football or looking after my physique. I know its sounds like an excuse, I blame myself for it. But I never leave an opportunity of playing fifa. I'm a really good fifa player. The game I'm playing these days is FC24.

I play Fifa tournaments. Today I had a tournament with my friends which was in league format. This is not a normal tournament. We make up our own teams through an auction. We were 5 players and each one of us was allocated 10,000 pkr from the Treasury. We had to build up a team through bidding from the 10k we had. So I had to be extremely cautious while buying my players. I'll be posting 5 teams below. Can you guess which one is mine?

The pictures are bit distorted. The CAM that is hidden in the Madrid's squad is Debryune and the centerback that's hidden in the Barca squad is Van Dijk. Can you guess which team is mine? I cannot think of many football fans on Steemit so tagging the only one I remember. @the-gorilla how are you? Rate these teams out of 10.

If you have read till here, I'll let you know which team is mine. I chose Manchester United and the most expensive player I bought was Vinicius Junior. Vini is my main man. I like to play fast build up with counter attacking football. The bench is not so good I know, I'm lacking a much needed fullback on the bench but I have to do with what I've got. My front three are pretty solid and Rodri as a DM gives me the support that I look for in the midfield. Anyway, I bought Vini for 2500 and Rodri for 1800. A good deal if you ask me. The most expensive player in the league was Haaland, who was bought at 2700.

The league commenced and I was looking pretty solid in it. The first legs ended with me on top at 9 points in 4 games. This was by far the best league that I have played recently. Before the final game of the league, this is how the table looked like.

IMG_20240323_070507.jpg

The last game of the league was between my team (Manchester United) and Borussia Dortmund. The winner takes the league. The stakes were high. My friend had placed his bet on me lmao. If only I didnt draw against Manchester City in the second leg, the league would have been mine.

Anyway the final leg of the season started amd i shit you not it was a tense game. I started Martinelli instead of Osimen and Wirtz instead of Odegaard. I conceded a Goal at the 58th Minute and levelled it at the 81st minute. But a draw would have put me at the second place. I didn't want to end up at the second place. I had to win. Sadly, I couldn't do it. The game ended up in a draw with BVB taking the cup.

IMG_20240323_071745.jpg

I was sad but the adrenaline rush took over. It was such a competitive league after ages. I have another tournament coming up this weekend. There'll be 20 teams in total with a knockout based games. Fingers crossed.

Thats it from my side, hope I didn't bore you with my day. I want to invite my friends @kouba01 @steemdoctor1 and @el-nailul to take part in this contest.

Yeap, I enjoyed reading your diary post. You are lucky man! you have completed your graduation before this ramadan . We all know how much tried we become after taking our ifter and after that we lost our energy for study. You were a football team captain and love football. I didn’t know the-gorilla is a football lover steemian. I hardly watch football matchs. Last time I watched final match of The World Cup . Good luck to you.

It's interesting to see a glimpse into a man's day, especially during Ramadan. The routine seems focused on spiritual and physical well-being, with prayers, fasting, and gym workouts. Breaking fast by the seaside sounds like a serene experience, and the excitement of a FIFA tournament adds a fun element to the day. Overall, it's a balanced mix of personal reflection, family time, and leisure activities.
