Compliment of the season to my steemian ladies, how are you all doing? Its good to be right back in your midst and I'm glad to hear from you all.

Let's get started;

INTRODUCTION

The season we are now is festive season to be precise Christmas celebration period,a lot of organization will go on vacation especially where I work, teaching in private school.we went on vacation last Thursday being 12th of December, 2024. After vacation on Thursday, I started packing my lounge to travel to village to meet with family members since its been a long time, I frequently talk on phone with my father and siblings. Friday last week morning I took off though not far about 3 hours journey I was back home, I was glad 😊 to be back again in village. My father and siblings has been gisting me on the events that happen both pleasant and heartbreaking once.

Here's me yesterday preparing my father's favorite dish (Utoboro) : Let's learn together ;

Early morning I woke up did my morning chores like sleeping and washing of 🍽️ I didn't bother to snap because my father has been curious about my picture snapping everytime I couldn't explain to him since is little bit advanced in age I just mind my business that morning , after my morning chores I prepare breakfast boiled plantain with Palm oil mixed with fresh pepper and salt

Afternoon

In the afternoon from 12pm I started a very big journey of preparing Utoboro,the process is so elaborate;
Recipe involved in preparing Utoboro

• Mboro( unripe banana)
• Periwinkle
• Epai (dry fish)
• Crayfish
• Palm oil
• Maggi
• pepper
• Salt
• scent leave etc
Steps involved in preparation;

Step 1

Peeled the unripe banana complete and wash like this;

Step 2
After peeling and properly washed the next thing is to grate it with grater as shown below 👇

IMG_20241217_135635_612~2.jpgStep3 boiled water on fire, prepare all your ingredients listed above and put them in the boiled water except scent leave cut the grated bananas into small balls and drop inside the mixed water carefully until you are done.

Step 4

Allow it to cook for a while and add your palm oil and scent leave your delicious Utoboro, you can call it banana poridge is ready as shown below

Evening activities

In the evening I was tired, I had to freshen up and relax for the day by reading messages and attending to my online activity.

Hola. Me alegra que estés de regreso en casa aunque sea por la temporada. Es una época muy especial para compartir en familia. Es muy lindo que consientas a tu papá con una comida de su gusto. Se ve bastante fácil de hacer, en mi país ese tipo de plátano lo llamamos topocho. Creo que podría preparar tu receta algún día, gracias por mostrarla.
