Tell your story#38("Life Will Humble You")

There is an adage that is commonly use in my place that says:

"As you make your bed so you will lie on it"

There's this my cousin sister that unfortunately went and rented a family compound to stay; a family compound in the sense that almost all the family members are living in the same compound.

The story has it that cousin's landlord was very promiscuous when he was young, since he was handsome and rich in his days and he was also a principal, he would deceived and lured young girls including his students to sleep with him either for monetary favour or academic favours.
And then some of those young girls took in for him then their parents would drag their daughters to come stay with him so he could take responsibility of the pregnancy.

So that is how he had a whole lot of women acclaimed to be married to him, then some that the parents were well to do will take their daughters and Carter for them.
So they said this man was the dream of every your girl to the extent that women would be throwing themselves at him and he would just be getting them pregnant. Imagine! What a life.

So since he was wealthy he got properties all over the city including cars.

Fast forward to now, one day I visited my cousin sister and I heard someone wailing as if in pain, so I asked my cousin what was going on she said that's her landlord.
Ah! I was like your landlord too is living here? And she said no that the children just relocated him to the compound after selling the one he was staying and shared the money between them without the father knowing.

I was like, what? even while the father is still alive they've started selling his property. My cousin was like that's not even all, that even the compound she's staying they have all shared the rooms and the flats to themselves that after her rent expires she will pack out.
That there's one of the sons that would be coming to the compound drunk making noise that the father should give him his own inheritance.

And the father can't even comprehend things, he doesn't even know he owns the house he's staying. And rumours has it that it is also the children that made him to be use.less so that he won't know or interfer in whatever they are doing.
So every day he would come out and sit on his veranda, he would refused taking his bath nor brush his teeth. And when you passed around the area it will stink.

No child wants to take care of him because he didn't also care for the children. Even all the women none agree to come stay and take care of him except one that died while staying with him.
And now they are waiting for him to die.

And I said to myself, is this not the same man I heard was a hot cake when he was young?. He's now turned to vegetable.
Truly this life is not balanced.

I'll leave us with this:
Please live your life wisely and responsibly so that you won't be abandon by your love ones at old age.
