Contest| "Tools to Spark Culinary Inspiration #19"
Hello dear friends...!
I hope you are doing well...
Table manners are an important part of etiquette we should learn to experience a pleasant mealtime. It's a way of showing respect to everyone who joins us at our dining table. These manners help everyone to feel confident and improve our social interactions. I'm pleased to take part in this wonderful contest organized by our dear friend @ninapenda.
Here is the link to the contest for our friends to share their ideas on this week's topic - Contest| "Tools to Spark Culinary Inspiration #19"

• What are "table manners"? Explain some examples.
The general table manners is to invite the family to the dining table when the food is served.
Wash our hands before we have our food.
Wait for everyone to join the meal, and serve meals politely.
It is important to maintain a good posture while eating, like no hands or elbows resting on the table.
It's not good to make sounds when chewing, we should take small bites to make chewing easy and to avoid making noises. It's also great to avoid speaking mouthfuls.
The use of cutlery is important and should not make noise or mixed with other shared dishes.
It would be great if we could keep our dining table neat without making a mess while dining.

• Do you think children should be taught table manners or wait till they are grown before they can learn it?
No, I think from a young age table manners should be taught and practiced. It will be fun teaching them and also they absorb these etiquettes well at their younger age. As parents, we should also follow dining etiquette because they love to imitate and gradually will make it a practice. It will also help our little ones build social confidence and improve their behavior during gatherings or dining out with parents.
Teaching our kids table manners will make our dining time more fun and smoother avoiding embarrassing moments for both child and parents.
• What is the most tasking table manners for you? Share with us
The most challenging task for me is to eat slowly to match the pace of the other members dining with me. I'm a fast eater and when the food is delicious I always tend to eat a lot quicker than everyone at the table. So I'm always mindful to eat slowly and match the pace with everyone dining at the table. It is also challenging for me to remain in the same spot for a long time and I tend to shift to comfortable sitting positions which makes it hard for me to remain in good posture while dining; especially during long gatherings with friends and relations.
However, I'm always mindful to enjoy my meals matching the pace of everyone gathering at the dining table and also maintain a sitting posture while dining.
• Is it best to avoid a meal on the menu because you can't pronounce the name? Have you ever done it?
No, I haven't. There are many varieties of cuisines that I'm not much aware of but I love to taste different foods. In that case, I will either take help from the waitstaff or from a dining companion; or just point out the dish and say "I would like to try out this". It is always great to get a new experience trying out a new dish rather than holding back and moving on with trying the same dish that I'm familiar with.
It can be a chance that I'm missing out on trying my favorite dish on earth.😜 So, I will never hold on, just because I can't pronounce the name.😊

I agree with this totally. Children learn better and faster at a young age. When they grow up, they formed already
You’re very correct
When we want to teach kids anything like table manners, it has to be at a very tender age
