The Diary Game | 11th of November 2024 | ♥ A Short Getaway to Galle ♥

It is Monday, 11th of November.

I woke up early because we were going to my husband's hometown. My mom had started the day early as usual and had prepared us breakfast to have before we left home for Galle. Being at home feels like heaven because Mom and Dad help us with everything. This morning, we had one of our family's favorite breakfast menus, which is cassava, chicken curry, spicy coconut sambal, and red rice. This breakfast was delicious and so satisfying.

After having breakfast, I got ready for our trip. I bathed Vihan and got him dressed first. My Dad helped to look after Vihan while we got ready. I packed all the essentials and we were ready to go at around 9:30 a.m. It was a warm sunny day, It's was really hard to bear the temperature in Colombo.

I enjoyed our trip on the southern expressway, as had been a while since my last visit to Galle. We reached Galle around 12:00 P.m. I spent some time talking about whereabouts with my in-laws and enjoyed our lunch. Little Vihan played with his Chuti Bappi (Uncle) the whole afternoon without even having his lunch. He doesn't often have someone to play with, so I let him play as much as he wants.

In the evening, I spent time in the garden with Vihan while my husband took some rest. Later, I bathed Vihan and refreshed him in the evening. We had plans to visit the Galle Fort, so we left at around 4:00 p.m. because it was the perfect time to enjoy the evening set at the Galle Fort. Visiting Galle Fort is always a highlight for me; It's a great place to relax and spend some quality time with the family.

Little Vihan was thrilled to visit the beach. He enjoys it even more than we do; he absolutely loves being in the water. Any play activity involving water keeps him happy! We captured a few moments and spent some time enjoying the stunning sunset over the beach.

As the sun set, It was a reminder that it was time for us to leave. Since we had to return to Colombo that evening, we changed and prepared for the journey back. We were dead tired and hungry after playing on the beach, so we ordered Pizza and had our dinner in the car on the way to Colombo.

It was a lovely day spent with family and visiting my in-laws. I enjoyed my trip to Galle Fort; the evening was quite pleasant, and we made some wonderful memories.

I'm thankful to god for giving me such lovely days filled with little happy moments with my family.
