The Diary Game | 31st of March, 2024 | A well spent day!

It was the 31st of March.

Days and months pass in a blink of an eye. I woke up really late today, with no alarm, and no noises of vehicles passing by. The environment is so calm and peaceful on the weekends. I think it is because everyone is home relaxing. I started my day with a warm cup of lemon and honey water.

I prepared a simple breakfast and tea for us. Little Vihan was awake; we spent our morning time enjoying cartoons. It was already 11:30 a.m. when I went to the kitchen to prepare lunch. I went for a simple meal plan as were hungry by that time. I prepared Lentil curry, stewed long beans, and fried chicken.

After having our meals, I spent time with the baby. He loves it when we all are home and around him. Recently, I bought him a few coloring books as he loves to play with crayons. This was his first time coloring; I think it is good for him to recognize different colors and keep him occupied. I give crayons only if we are around him; we need to be careful when giving crayons to children under three years old as they love to put anything inside their mouths.

In the evening, we decided to go on a small walk down the road to Samanalawewa Reservoir. Little Vihan loves to go on walks and explore nature just as we do. The surroundings were stunning with the evening sun. Since we had very little rain, we noticed that the water levels of the reservoir have decreased rapidly.

Enjoying our time near the Samanalawewa Reservoir, we returned home. We had plans to visit a Musical show organized by the University students that night. Once we returned home, we fed our baby and got ready. The show started at around 8:30 p.m. The university premises were filled with students. I was also excited about the show as one of my favorite artists was invited as the chief guest.

The guest artist's performances ended at around 10:30 p.m. We were curious how our baby would be during the show. Surprisingly, he didn't trouble much and we could enjoy a wonderful show. Little Vihan was already sleepy by the time we reached home. Tucking him in bed, I ended my day. I had an amazing day enjoying quality time with the family. I wished I had my parents to enjoy the musical shown with us.
