Dear Ruth, what a pity that you have such a situation. I don't think this way of dealing with moderators of a community is correct. Not to mention the power down: if there are reasons for it, it should be done in agreement...
Patjewell would be very sad if she realised this. But she would also tell you one thing: there are more important things in the world than the arbitrary behaviour of individuals.
Deactivating a Community is... not possible, as far as I know. Carry on. Set up a new Community account. You have enough members and visitors to survive.
