Raising boys and girls”

Both are not easy and should be handled with utmost care. It's proper to educate children based on their unique strength, interests, likes and dislikes, and personalities can contribute to their overall development and success.

One thing to note is that human beings differ and each individual has that distinct feature that makes them unique.

It's essential to consider that raising boys and girls in the same way may not necessarily be the most suitable approach.

While it's important to have a sense of equality and fairness, acknowledging and celebrating the inherent differences between each gender is beneficial in fostering well-rounded individuals in society.

Whatever you do, raise them in a way that promotes equality, fairness, respect, and understanding.

By challenging gender stereotypes. It is crucial to question and challenge the stereotypes boys and girls are limited to. Parent should expose their children to diverse role models and encourage them to pursue their desires irrespective of what society expects.

Promote equality in responsibilities. It's important not to make one role seem more important than the other. Each child should be raised with a sense of equality in terms of responsibilities required from everyone in the family. Both boys and girls should be taught the importance of sharing household chores, decision-making, and taking up leadership roles. These should not be limited to a specific gender but they should be taught to handle them when it comes to them thereby breaking down gender barriers and promoting mutual respect for each other.

Boys are often told when something bad happens that requires them to express their emotions that "Be a man, men don't cry", with a pat on the back.
Girls should not be labeled weaker vessels without giving them the chance to explore opportunities because some parents think the career is not for a female.

Boys and girls should be encouraged to express their emotions without fear of being judged. Teaching them both to express their feelings, and navigate through difficult discussions, relationships, and conflict will help them to face whatever the world throws at them without fear.

Parents should teach both boys and girls the importance of self-care, self-acceptance, and self-love. Not just teaching them, but also portraying and living these lessons they teach them. By promoting healthy habits, positive body image, and self-confidence, parents will empower their children to navigate the challenges of adolescence and adulthood with resilience.
