Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

We have made it to the final weekend of the month of March, and that means we have also made it to the final Caturday of this month!

Saturday is my favorite day of the week because it is the day when people all across the Internet post pictures of their Feline friends.

This is an almost 20-year-old tradition that has gained worldwide popularity, and is partly responsible for the fact that there are now literally billions of cat photos online.

We are having a fairly quiet weekend around here, and enjoying the fact that spring is seriously here which means longer days and more sunshine in the house.

If you know anything at all about cats, I am sure you realize that we cats love to sleep in the sunshine!

Since it is now spring, there are a lot more birds outside, hopping around on the railings of the deck and sitting in the trees near the house. This definitely makes for very good kitty TV!

Of course, we are all house cats who stay inside which is why is because there are lots of predators around here who would make a quick snack of a well-fed house cat. I'm talking about large eagles, cougars, and even the occasional bear.

Spring also means that the Hoomans are working more on their gardening projects, which often take place up close to the house so we get to supervise them from the windows.

Occasionally, they even bring in some cat safe greenery for us to nibble on. Yes, even cats occasionally need to eat their vegetables!

Next week, the Mom-Hooman will be gone all week to go spend time with the Daughter-Hooman and her new baby son. While the house will feel a bit empty, the Dad-Hooman will take very good care of us.

Our elderly and very fluffy housemate Smudge continues to enjoy her golden years, although she seems to be quietly showing her age as she recently passed 21, which is a very old age for a cat!

Even if she is mostly blind, and doesn't move around all that much, she still enjoys a decent quality of life and is a much loved member of the family!
