We have arrived at the first weekend in 2025, and we have arrived at the first Caturday in 2025! I hope everyone is having a great day!

Here at our place, the New Year arrived fairly quietly, as the Hoomans chose to spend their New Year's Eve at home watching movies, rather than brave the crowds on a cold and windy night.

Hello!

We cats were quite happy about that choice as it meant they were home to comfort and reassure us when fireworks went off in the neighborhood... and there was also extra "lap time" and treats while they were watching television.

Tomorrow (Sunday) they are going to put away the big bush in the living room with all the shiny toys... too bad they didn't allow cats in that room!

Why are you disturbing me? I was NAPPING!

Goals, and Things...

Well, I came up a little short of my goal of reaching 3,000 Steem Power in 2024, ending the year with 2,862.894 SP.

With somewhat declining support, and given that I only added 625 SP during 2024, I'm setting a somewhat modest goal of getting to 3,500 SP in 2025. Hopefully that's doable, and I'll do my best, now that it is "in print!"

Still hopeful that we can somehow stimulate more cat — and pet — related content here on Steemit... I don't know why all the pet communities seem to have ended up dormant.

Maybe it has something to do with what readers deem to be content that has "value." They are mistaken, of course, because the Internet has literally billions of cat photos... and by some estimates, as much as 15% of all web traffic relates to cats!

So, if we measure value in terms of what people actually look at and occupy their time with, I'd say cats have a pretty big market share, don't you think?

Of course, I can't make that happen, simply because I point this out... and we're in a very developer/technologist heavy community here. That said, I know plenty of coders who keep cats!

Not sure what approach we'll take, but we'll figure out something!

But now, it's time for me to get back to my naptime!
