Hello everyone our dear steem-pet-lovers!
Today we will talk about how to distinguish a teenage chick from an adult bird. And the size will not play a decisive role! Indeed, in most cases, the chicks quickly reach the size of an adult bird.

Often these differences are obvious. Here, for example, is a juvenile wild duck

and an adult wild duck

But this is not always the case. Look at the photos below

On the top photo you see juvenile storks, and on the bottom - adult birds. What obvious differences do you see?

If you're not too familiar with storks, the size of the bird won't tell you anything. After all, they are almost the same! But if you were attentive, you saw that young birds have a dark key and legs, while adults birds have orange ones.

Another task for our inquisitive and attentive readers: an adult crow and a juvenile crow.

Where is who?

Obviously, despite the large size, the bird in the photo below is still a chick. Blue eyes betray it.

And what are the ways to distinguish a chick from an adult bird, when their size is almost the same, do you know? 😉

Wishing you a wonderful Friday night
